IV- Intervenes healing ID- Identification Marks

A series of symbolic Infusion installation pieces made of air-dry clay, with a symbolic umbilical cord tubes, consist of what the artists experienced as identification documents and objects. Paper documents such as passport, national and religion Identification card, earth, mezuzah, biblical text on women’s role, prayer text, etc.

The use of infusions are to intervening the body in order to rescue and heal while identification marks are stand for beliefs that naturally introjected by society and political interests. In one hand it made to prove and defined one’s identity, belonging, boundaries, ownership on territories, protect people’s lives or easily rule and have power over them. On the other hand, it prevents people from the same basic needs of safeness, belonging, freedom to live and work in places of their choice. All these identification marks being interjected and transformed into identity markers thus is being challenged when one start to see the world as a shared place for all.
